What is the Roswell Film Festival?

The Roswell Film Festival celebrates the international brand related to the infamous UFO experiences while being hosted in the city of Roswell, NM.  The Festival centers around five sections of films: General Entry, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Independent, Documentary and New Mexico Based and Hosts Live Music Acts selected from our Independent Music Division Submissions.  Both Feature and Short Films are included and submissions come from all over the world.  Events may include parties, panel discussions, workshops, contests, awards and of course a great selection of films & live music acts.

When is the Festival?

Every year in late April. Current dates can be found on our home page. Register on our Schedule page to build your agenda once the current schedule is made live.

What venues will it all take place?

The Allen Theaters Galaxy 8 location in Roswell will host our films.  Locations around town will host many of the events surrounding the festival.  Look at the base of each Schedule listing to see specific locations for that event as well as address.

What times will films & music acts be shown?

All day throughout the Festival. Meal Breaks and Awards Ceremony will halt film showings. All other events, parties, panels, etc. will many times coincide with other activities.  Official Schedule is posted on the Schedule page where you can register to set your agenda. Daily reminders during the event will be sent out to registered attendees.

Where Can I Get My Passes & Tickets?

Follow the Link on Our Home Page to Purchase Your Film Festival or (1) Day Passes.  Individual Film Sessions Can be Purchased at the Theatre Counter Prior to Showings.

Awards Ceremony tickets are purchased through The Liberty at an additional cost.

Opening Night Special Film tickets with portions of proceeds benefiting local charity purchased through Allen Theatres at an additional cost.

When is Next Year's Film Festival?

The Official Roswell Film Festival will be held in late April annually.  Make your plans now to attend.  Film & Music Submissions are open July thru November.  Official Festival Schedule, Tickets, etc. will be available early Spring.

How do I Submit my Film or Music Act?

Films & Music Acts are submitted through FilmFreeway & Sonicbids buttons respectively on our “HOME” and “SUBMIT” pages.  Clicking them will take you to our registration/submissions pages.

What are the Deadlines?

We accept Film & Music Acts Submissions for the coming year from July thru November. Once submissions are closed, there are no exceptions and you will need to submit during the next open period in future years. Click on our “Submit” page for further details.

My Film or Music Act has Been Selected, What Now?

Congratulations!  We look forward to showing your film or featuring your live music act during the Festival.  You will receive an email(s) with further instructions.  A press kit is requested and highly recommended but not required.  We will use portions of your kit in our promotions, publications and venues.  Get your plans together to attend and use your complimentary festival passes, be a part of activities and address the audience concerning your film and/or music acts.
